The Sumitomo T-72M12+ Ribbon Splicer and Battery Kit is a high-performance mass fusion splicing solution that provides fast and accurate splicing of ribbon fibres in high-density fibre optic networks.

The unit supports single fibre and ribbon splicing of up to 12 fibres simultaneously, reducing installation time when working with large fibre counts.

It features advanced NanoTune™ technology that automatically optimises arc parameters and fibre alignment to minimise splice loss and reduce the need for rework. An enhanced Auto Clamping Adjustment System improves fibre positioning in the precision V-grooves, helping achieve low-loss splices consistently.

The T-72M12+ delivers fast splicing times of around 11 seconds for a 12-fibre ribbon, while two independent heaters enable efficient protection sleeve shrinking.

The battery kit and accessories included allow the splicer to be used reliably in field environments, while the rugged casing offers protection against impact, dust, and moisture.
