Sumitomo T-72C+ Fusion Splicer

The Sumitomo T 72C+ Fusion Splicer is a high-definition core-aligning fusion splicing machine for fast, accurate fibre optic splicing in telecommunications, broadband, and FTTx network deployments. It combines advanced alignment technology with a durable, compact design suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.

The splicer uses high-precision core alignment technology to ensure low-loss fibre joints across a wide range of fibre types.

It offers fast splicing speeds of 5 seconds and heating times of 8 seconds, which improves efficiency for high-volume installation projects. It also features two independent heating ovens allowing technicians to prepare the next splice while the previous sleeve is shrinking.

It features advanced features such as NanoTune™ technology and AI-assisted splice optimisation to automatically adjust arc parameters and improve splice accuracy.

The long-life battery is capable of around 320 splice and heat cycles per charge.
