The Sumitomo T 502S Elite Active Clad Alignment Fusion Splicer is a compact and high-performance fusion splicing solution telecommunications, broadband, and FTTx networks.
It is built for field engineers working on last-mile and access networks, and combines advanced alignment technology with a lightweight, durable design suitable for demanding environments.
The splicer uses active clad alignment technology to deliver accurate and consistent fibre alignment. Typical splice loss is approximately 0.03dB for single-mode fibre and 0.01dB for multimode fibre across a wide range of fibre types.
With fast splice times of around 6 seconds and heating times of 12 seconds improves efficiently while maintaining high splice quality. The Li-ion battery provides up to 250 splice and heat cycles per charge, making the unit ideal for extended field use.
The splicer features automatic arc calibration to maintain consistent performance across various environmental conditions. Its durable casing offers protection against dust, water, and impact.
