The Prysmian Clear Heat Shrink Splice Protector provides protection and long-term reliability for optical fibres after fusion splicing. It is placed over the fibre joint and shields the splice area from mechanical stress, bending, and environmental exposure, to help maintain the integrity and performance of the fibre connection.

The protector has a clear heat-shrinkable outer tube with an internal strength member to stabilise the splice once heat is applied. The sleeve is placed over the completed splice and heated. As the tubing shrinks, it seals around the fibre and reinforcing rod to create a rigid sleeve that supports the splice and prevents fibre movement and damage.

They are compatible with many splice trays, closures, and fibre management systems used in telecom and data networks.
