Panduit’s TX6™ 28 AWG UTP Patch Cords deliver reliable Cat6/Class E performance and maximize space efficiency in high-density network environments. With a small-diameter and flexible construction, these patch cords provide excellent cable management, airflow, and installation flexibility for modern data centres, telecommunications rooms, and work areas.

TX6 patch cords are constructed from 28 AWG unshielded twisted-pair (U/UTP) stranded copper cables, and feature a dual-rated CM/LSZH jacket. With a cable diameter of 3.8 mm, they allow up to twice as many patch cords to be routed through cable managers and pathways compared to traditional Category 5e cords. The smaller diameter improves airflow and cooling efficiency, helping lower operating costs in high-density installations.

They are performance tested for wire map, near-end crosstalk (NEXT), and return loss, ensuring consistent, component-level electrical performance. A centred de-embedded plug design performs in the centre of the ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 5e component range, promoting interoperability and optimal performance when mated with compliant connectivity hardware.

Certified for Cat6/Class E applications, these patch cords support Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T), Fast Ethernet, ATM up to 1.2 Gb/s, digital video, broadband and baseband analog video, voice/data systems, and VoIP. The plug contacts are plated with 50 microinches of gold and rated for 2,500 mating cycles, delivering long-term durability. A patented tangle-free latch prevents snags and allows easy release.
