LEVITON VXC™ Cat 6A Coupler

Leviton’s VXC™ Coupler is a cost-effective and versatile solution to simplify the installation of wireless access points (WAPs), security cameras, and other IoT devices in modern network environments. By securely connecting two lengths of Category 6A cabling, the VXC Coupler allows installers to create and test a permanent link or Modular Plug Terminated Link (MPTL) while maintaining the flexibility to fine-tune final device placement. This makes it an ideal choice for ceiling or wall mounted devices.

The VXC Coupler meets or exceeds Category 6A performance requirements as defined in ANSI/TIA-568.2 and ISO/IEC 11801, ensuring reliable high-speed data transmission. It is component rated and supports both UTP and shielded channels, providing broad compatibility across a wide range of network designs. The coupler is compatible with Category 6 and Category 5e applications, offering flexibility for mixed or transitional cabling infrastructures.

Designed for ease of installation, the VXC Coupler requires no proprietary tools for termination and supports T568A and T568B wiring schemes. It accommodates 22 to 26 AWG solid or stranded conductors, making it suitable for a variety of cable types.

The coupler features a durable zinc alloy body that improves strength and reliability. It is NFPA-70 plenum rated, allowing safe installation in air-handling spaces without compromising code compliance.
