The Leviton Loose Tube Fibre Optic Cable is designed for high-performance backbone and access network installations. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications and provides dependable data transmission across campus, building, and long-distance infrastructure environments.
The loose tube design houses optical fibres within colour-coded buffer tubes that protect against stress and environmental factors. This allows the fibres to move freely within the tube which reduces strain and maintains signal integrity, particularly in installations subject to temperature variation or physical movement.
They have gel-filled tubes to prevent moisture ingress and ensure long-term reliability in external or duct environments. Central strength members provide tensile strength while maintaining flexibility for easy installation.
The cable is available in a range of fibre counts and supports single-mode and multimode options, making it suitable for a wide variety of network applications. The sheath options include LSZH, that meet fire safety requirements for indoor use.
