Leviton’s EXTREME™ Cat 6 QUICKPORT™ Jack is compatible with all Leviton QUICKPORT™ products.
It meets or exceeds channel and component-level electrical transmission performance requirements specified in ANSI/TIA-568.2 Category 6, ISO/IEC 11801-1 Class E, and EN 50173-1 Class E. It is compliant with ANSI/TIA-1096-A, c(UL)us Listed, and independently verified for electrical transmission performance and power delivery. The jack also supports high-megabit and shared-sheath applications and is compliant with IEEE 802.3 PoE Types 1, 2, 3, and 4, delivering up to 100 watts of power.
Built on a 180-degree configuration with a rear-facing punch field, rear termination is easy and convenient. The Pair Separation Tower design minimizes conductor untwisting and enables quicker, more consistent terminations. Termination is accomplished using 110-type insulation displacement connectors (IDC), with a built-in ledge adjacent to the termination field that allows wires to be seated and cut in a single action. Gas-tight IDC contacts help prevent corrosion and ensure long-term electrical reliability.
Patented Retention Force Technology (RFT) protects contact tines from damage and allows the jack to support multiple re-terminations. It can terminate 26 to 22 AWG solid conductors and 24 to 22 AWG stranded conductors, with the ability to re-terminate 26 AWG stranded conductors up to five times.
Constructed from fire-retardant plastics with a UL 94V-0 flammability rating, the EXTREME Cat 6 Jack features universal wiring for T568A and T568B schemes, a wiring label, and a snap-on dust cap with high pullout force.
