Jonard Fibre Optic Drop Cable Slitter

Jonard Tools Fiber Optic Drop Cable Slitter is designed to make preparing flat fibre optic drop cables faster, safer and more consistent for FTTx technicians and installers. It is a slitting tool engineered specifically to handle flat drop cable jackets typically found in residential and last-mile network deployments, simplifying mid-span or end-of-cable access without the need for knives or improvised cutters.

It accommodates common jacket dimensions used in FTTx drop applications. It features dual blades that simultaneously cut both sides of the flat jacket, creating parallel slits that allow the technician to separate the outer jacket and strength members from the inner fibres without damaging the buffer tubes. This helps maintain fibre integrity and improves efficiency.

The blades are reversible which extends the lifespan, and replacement blades are available separately.
